Outline is a one off series of pins created in silver from my own collection of family photography. They are a comment on the many underlying meanings embedded within such photographs but essentially act as small memorials to those I have lost. When we die our image and our possessions become precious, their status is elevated and magnified to sacred levels.
Our own memories are fragile and transient and images of the lost loved one becomes blurred, often just an outline. We remember them within the photographs but we are in danger of the photograph becoming the memory itself.
